The Jackson County Children's Policy Council is where people who care about local children and families come together, share what they are seeing, and look for ways to help.
One Council, Many Voices
Jackson County's CPC is part of a statewide network created to give every Alabama county a local table focused on children and families. Our meetings bring together schools, service providers, public agencies, community organizations, local leaders, and residents who want Jackson County's children to thrive.
The Council is open to community participation. No single agency has every answer, but when people share what they know and work together, needs are easier to recognize and resources are easier to find.
The Community Council
The community CPC listens, connects, and helps set local priorities. Members share information about emerging needs, available services, and gaps that families are experiencing across Jackson County.
The Nonprofit Board
Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit board helps turn those priorities into action. It allows the CPC to seek grants, accept donations, build partnerships, and direct resources toward work that benefits Jackson County's children and families.
Partnership Comes First
We have learned that helping our community does not always mean creating something new. Jackson County already has dedicated organizations doing meaningful work with children and families.
Whenever possible, the CPC looks for ways to strengthen that work; by connecting partners, helping secure resources, supporting shared goals, and filling needs that might otherwise go unmet. Partnerships such as Jackson Youth Connect with Youth Advocacy Programs, Inc. allow each organization to contribute what it does best.
Guided by Local Needs
Each year, Jackson County partners help identify the issues having the greatest effect on local children and families. Those findings guide the Council's conversations, partnerships, and funding priorities.

Help Strengthen Local Support
Donations help the CPC respond when a local need and an opportunity to help come together. Depending on current priorities, support map help strengthen a community partnership, meet a specific need, or bring additional resources to children and families in Jackson County.
The Jackson County Children's Policy Council nonprofit is recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
